What Might a Typical Day in this Job look like?
To work towards a modern apprenticeship in Business and Administration (level 3).
Assist in the maintenance and operation of an effective fleet management system, including file maintenance and general administration. Maintaining computer input i.e. job file data, purchase orders, maintaining completed job files, processing job files for invoice assessment, recording department purchase ledger records of overheads, maintaining all relevant filing as designated. Various typewritten correspondences, letters, memorandum etc. Maintain accurate records in relation to fuel costs, drivers licensing, vehicle V5 documents etc. Liaise with various suppliers. In general help and ensure the office is a safe working environment. Automatically carry out any other administrative roles in the absence of other key admin staff.
What will I learn?
Apprentices will cover all aspects of administration from maintaining the administration systems to updating the computerised and manual filing systems. You will train through GTG to SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
What qualifications or qualities are required?
You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above In English, Maths, and an Admin or Computer Studies subject. Standard grades 1-4 and Intermediates will also be accepted.
It is essential that you are literate, numerate, reliable and keen to learn.
